Hearing Protection Issues

  • It is the responsibility of the user of this device to have read and understood the test data provided in the Safety Information & Quick Start Card, including frequency-specific noise attenuation values, Noise Reduction Ratings (NRR) and Impulse Response limitations. Only use this product under the noise exposure conditions for which it was designed and tested.
  • If the information and instructions contained herein are not followed, the hearing protection afforded by the device may be severely impaired.
  • Improper fit of this device will reduce its effectiveness in attenuating noise and providing protection. Consult the enclosed instructions for proper fit.
  • Misuse or failure to wear the device consistently and at all times when exposed to hazardous noise may result in hearing loss or other injury.
  • The hearing protection afforded by the device is, in large part, dependent upon the foam Ear Rips. These foam Ear Tips degrade with use and are thus considered as consumables. Also, they may become dirty and harbor bacteria which could be harmful to the ear canal.
  • Ear Tips may also deteriorate due to long-term storage and/or repeated use. Ear Tips must be replaced if they appear to be damaged or dirty.
  • If this headset is to be used daily, it is highly recommended that the Foam Ear Tips be replaced at least once per week.
  • Only authentic CLEAR 360 PRO Ear Tips should be used, and these are available as inexpensive replacement components from the manufacturer. Use of any other ear tip is at the user’s risk, is expressly recommended against by the manufacturer, and cannot be expected to provide the noise attenuation performance reported herein.
  • If you experience discomfort while using this device, discontinue usage immediately. Should any problem persist, consult your dealer.

IMPORTANT: Listening to music or other audio content with this unit at high volume may result in a risk of hearing loss due to sound exposure , and also may degrade auditory situation awareness of external sounds, such as warning signals. Thus, it is recommended that the device be played at moderate earphone output levels which will accommodate the noise environment present at the ear. If the noise environment is too loud to enable hearing of earphone output played at a reasonable output level, the volume should not be turned up further.
